It’s a new year. Welcome to 2014

January 29, 2014

Greetings from Glen Dhu Primary.

The 2014 school year for teachers commences on Monday, February 3rd. Students commence on Wednesday, February 5th.

2014 will see the name of the Wonderful Weir site change to better reflect the makeup of the group, a Grade 3/4 class. The site will also add a number of widgets to show our development in the blogging world.

Check back in a couple of weeks to view changes and the layout of our new site.

Term Three of Four in Tasmania

August 8, 2013

We are two weeks into Term Three. Usually this is our last term as we prepare for the Christmas break. However we now have four terms in Tasmania so at the end of this term it will only be September  27th. Quite strange. Most seem to be very happy with the change and as with all things it will just become the norm.

More BIG things

May 21, 2013

Cherries are grown in Tasmania and many are exported to mainland Australia and into South East Asia. Given the size of our cherries it’s easy to see why people love them !!!

It’s time for the BIG things again !

May 21, 2013

Hello there. Last year Grade 4Weir shared many BIG things from around Australia. Today’s blog shares a number of BIG things from around Tasmania. Grade 4 Weir would love to see any BIG things from where you live.

Term Two Begins

Schools in Tasmania have returned today for the second term. This is our first year of a four term year so it is a little strange coming back to school in early May. Our next holidays are in July.
